Our school is choosing to celebrate Children's Book Week from Monday 24 - Friday 28 August 2020.
When: 9:15am Friday 28 August
Where: Bridgman Oval
Why Dress Up? Kids LOVE dressing up for Book Week – it creates a sense of fun but more importantly, focuses on our LOVE of READING!
Why Bridgman Oval? Just as kids love to dress up, parents love to SEE their kids and be involved in the atmosphere! We invite parents to view our Book Week DRESS UP Parade at Bridgman Oval from 9:15am on Friday 28 August. We'll stay ON the oval, YOU stay OUTSIDE the oval, hang around the perimeter – social distancing!
How to Dress Up: Google some dress up images; type in a request for an image of your favourite storybook character. Go through the cupboards at home to find costumes! No need to spend money purchasing costumes………..enjoy spending time with each other to design and create a super fantastic and fun costume.
Theme: Curious Creatures, Wild Minds!
This year's Book Week theme is "Curious Creatures, Wild Minds"! All students are invited to DRESS UP for the day replicating a favourite character in a favourite storybook, a favourite author, a favourite book title - the ideas are endless! We LOVE to see kids dressed up in imaginative and creative "own styled costumes" - no need to purchase anything online or buy store bought..........what can you use from home to dress up and create a curious creature??!!
