The Australian Government's Active After-school Communities (AASC) program is a national initiative that provides primary school children with access to free sport and other structured physical activity programs in the after-school time slot of 3.00pm to 4.30pm.

The program aims to engage children in sport and other structured physical activities and through a positive and fun experience, develop a love of sport that inspires them to join a local sporting club.

The program will commence in Week 4 of this term and will run for 7 weeks. The students will be given afternoon tea 3.00-3.30 at the kitchen in the sports hall and then participate in an hour long sports session.

The sports being offered in Term 3 are:

Monday (Prep- Year 3 students only) : T-Ball

Wednesday (Year 4- Year 5 students only) : Futsal (Indoor Soccer)

Thursday ( Year 6- Year 7 students only) : Futsal (Indoor Soccer)

If students are interested in being a part of this wonderful opportunity they will be required to ask for a registration sheet from their classroom teacher and hand it back in to Possum Box in the office prior to attending their session.

If you have any further questions about this program please direct them to Mr Morris who will be the co-ordinator for Pittsworth State School.

Tony Morris - HPE Teacher
