Last Friday the students with disabilities competed in the AWD State Track and Field Trials at The Glennie School in Toowoomba. A big thank you to Lynelle Gordon and Christine Ruhle for organising the students throughout the day. The students had a great day and achieved the following results:
Harrison Pirie – 2nd long jump, 3rd 100m, 2nd 200m , 4th 400m and 2nd in shot put.
Ryan Briese – 3rd 200m and 5th 100m
Brent Flett – competed in 100m, 200m, long jump and shot put
Josh Flett – 3rd in 200m and competed in 100m, long jump and shot put
Cameron Ruhle – 1st 800m, 2nd 200m, 3rd 100m and 1st long jump
Jessy Mitchell – 1st 200, 400m and long jump and 2nd 100m and 800m
Congratulations to Cameron Ruhle and Jessy Mitchell who qualified for the AWD Darling Downs Team and will compete in Cairns on October 19 and 20.
